There are days when you just want to get yourself a dose of some warm soup. Today, why not try this classic Filipino recipe?
- 1/4 cup Dari Creme Classic Margarine
- 1 tsp garlic, chopped
- 1/4 cup onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup red and green bell peppers, chopped
- 1/4 cup celery, chopped
- 1/4 cup carrots, chopped
- 100 gm elbow macaroni
- 1 cup Magnolia Chicken Breasts, boiled and shredded
- 130 gm Purefoods Vienna Sausage Tidbits, chopped into cubes
- 1 pc chicken bouillon cube dissolved in 4 cups chicken stock (reserved from boiling chicken breast)
- 1 cup Magnolia Full Cream Milk
- 1 cup cabbage, shredded
- salt and pepper (to taste)
Cook macaroni according to package directions.
Drain and set aside.
Melt margarine in a saucepan.
Sauté garlic and onions.
Add bell peppers, celery, and carrots.
Add Vienna sausage and let cook for a minute.
Add macaroni and shredded chicken breast and stir in chicken broth.
Let boil then add milk.
Season with salt and pepper.
Let boil for 5 minutes more.
Add shredded cabbage and turn off heat.
- Serve warm.
