Turkeydog Sandwich with Malunggay Pesto Sauce

Known as a miracle plant, malunggay is a nutritious mix to your turkey dog sandwich. With this, your kids will look at malunggay in a brand new light.

Ingredients

  • 6 pcs Purefoods Smoked Turkey Franks
  • 6 pcs mini baguette or hotdog buns
  • 50 gms fresh malunggay leaves
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp pine nuts, lightly toasted
  • 3 tbsp parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • pinch ground white pepper

Instructions

For the Pesto Sauce:

  1. Wash malunggay leaves well. Pat dry before using.

  2. Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Puree until smooth.

  3. Adjust seasoning according to taste.

To Assemble:

  1. Cook Turkey Franks with some water over medium heat for 3-5 minutes.

  2. Put in buns then drizzle some malunggay pesto.

  3. Serving good for six.
