Place chopped bacon on a medium-sized frying pan.
Cook until crisp and fat is rendered. Take out bacon from fat. Reserve the bacon oil.
On the same pan, sauté onions until translucent. Add cabbage and cook until slightly wilted.
Add mustard and vinegar then mix in crispy bacon.
Place German Franks into hotdog buns.
Top with the cabbage mixture.
