Sweet Chili Chicken Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • 400 grams Magnolia Chicken Menudo Cut
  • 1 2/2 tbsp Magnolia Nutri-Oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 tbsp cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp five-spice powder (ngohiong)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsps Chinese rice wine or cooking wine
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Purefoods Supremo Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sweet-chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp chicken stock or water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine all ingredients of marinade.

  2. Add chicken and mix well.

  3. Let marinate for 4 hours in the refrigerator.

  4. In another bowl, combine all ingredients for the sweet chili sauce. Set aside.

  5. In a wok, heat oil until smoking.

  6. Fry the chicken in batches and cook for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Set aside.

  7. Using the same wok, retain a tablespoon of the oil and remove any excess.

  8. Sauté garlic.

  9. Add sweet chili sauce mixture and allow it to bubble until reduced and syrupy.

  10. Add the cooked chicken and chopped cilantro.

  11. Toss until chicken is well coated with sauce.
