Honey Soy Chicken is a delicious treat for your senses. The taste of the honey brings out the flavors of the meat and makes the skin tender and juicy.
- 1 kilo Magnolia Fried Chicken Cut
- 3 cups soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp black peppercorns
- 1 pc star anise
- 2 tsp ginger root, sliced thinly
- 2 cups water
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 tsp Purefoods Supremo Cane Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp honey
Combine first 9 ingredients in a casserole. Let boil in high heat for 10 minutes. Steep chicken in hot liquid for at another 30 minutes. Remove chicken from liquid. Brush honey all over chicken pieces while chicken is still hot. Serve immediately.
