Chicken Teriyaki



  1. In a saucepan, combine ginger, sugar, rice wine, water and soy sauce.

  2. Cover and allow to boil.

  3. Add chicken pieces and cook covered for 10 minutes over moderate heat.

  4. In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in water. Mix well.

  5. Pour into chicken mixture and stir.

  6. Cook for another 2 minutes or until sauce lightly thickens.

  7. Remove from heat

  8. Transfer to a serving dish and top with toasted sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
