Black Bean Chicken

Ingredients

  • 500 gms Magnolia Chicken Menudo Cut
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp rice wine
  • 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Magnolia Nutri-Oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 1/2 tbsp shallots, chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp black bean and garlic sauce (available in the supermarket)
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 1/2 cup shiitake or oyster mushrooms, sliced into strips

Instructions

  1. Combine the chicken with ginger, cornstarch mixture, and soy sauce.

  2. Marinate for 10 minutes.

  3. Heat Magnolia Nutri-Oil and sesame oil in a wok over high heat.

  4. Sauté shallots and garlic for 30 seconds or until fragrant.

  5. Add black bean sauce and stir-fry for another 30 seconds.

  6. Add chicken and cook.

  7. Add chicken stock and sugar.

  8. Bring to a boil.

  9. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 3 minutes.

  10. Add the snow peas and mushrooms.

  11. Cook for another 2 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
