Four Ways to Spend Valentine's Day at Home
Work up some variation (and effort) into your normal V-Day date by putting together a homemade Valentine’s special. It’s easy!
1. Breakfast in Bed
Nothing beats waking up on the right side of the bed, while catching a whiff of a most filling breakfast prepared with love. Win his/her heart with servings of your take on the classic Yang Chow Fried Rice paired with spoonfuls of garlicky Chicken Salpicao. Don’t forget his/her preferred freshly brewed cup of coffee!
2. Picnic in the Garden
Breathe some fresh V-Day air and spread some lovin’ in the backyard with a Mexican-inspired picnic special for two. Start with a hearty Mexican Tortilla Soup while you reminisce about your first date. Serve some Tex Mex Chicken Salad to prep your palate for mouthwatering Beef Enchiladas.
3. Movie Marathon Date
Put on a handpicked V-Day flick to get you all loved up! Pack on the PDA all you want because nobody’s going to stare (ok, maybe just your pets). Give this moment an authentic movie-date feel with these hotdog sandwich level-up recipes: Barbecued Franks with Caramelized Onion and Pepper Cheesesteak Sandwich.
4. Candlelit Dinner
If you don’t already know it, candlelight makes the pupils dilate resulting to more attractive features. Whip up an equally tantalizing pasta dish such as Grilled Chicken Pasta with Coriander Pesto Sauce. Pair it with a low-carb dish such as Minced Pork in Lettuce Leaf.
Have a deliciously sweet Valentine's Day, Foodies!
